How it works

One workflow, start to close

Four stages. You make the call at every one that matters — Scout does the searching, matching and scheduling around it.

01

Define your ideal customer once, reuse it everywhere

Set geography, industry, sub-industry, turnover band, SIC codes or free-text keywords. Save it as an Ideal Customer Profile and launch discovery straight from it — no rebuilding the brief each time.

  • Reusable, named profiles
  • Launch discovery directly from a saved ICP
  • Results stay tied to the ICP that found them
02

Two sources, one relevance judgement

Scout searches the UK Companies House register for verified company data, and the open web for broader reach. An AI model reads what it finds and judges relevance against your ICP — and shows its reasoning on every candidate.

  • Companies House: verified UK company records
  • Open web search: wider coverage, AI-judged
  • Every candidate shows why it matched, with sources
03

You decide what's real

Discovered companies and their buying committee land in a review queue, not your CRM. Approve, reject or merge duplicates. Before you approve, Scout checks HubSpot for a possible existing match and lets you link instead of creating a copy — the same duplicate check every new CRM connector gets before it launches.

  • Buying-committee role suggested per contact
  • Emails/phone numbers found with their source shown
  • HubSpot duplicate pre-flight check on every approval
04

Outreach that comes from you

Build a message template or a multi-step sequence, and send it through your own connected Outlook mailbox — replies land in your inbox, not a shared one. Auto Outreach can run discovery and enrolment on a schedule; every contact it enrols still needs your approval first.

  • Sequences send from your own Outlook account
  • Auto Outreach runs discovery + enrol on a schedule
  • Map and saved lists stay current per ICP

Where the company data comes from

Companies House gives verified UK company records — legal name, SIC codes, registered details. Web search adds reach beyond the register, with an AI model judging fit and citing its source for every result. Discovery is strongest for UK companies; web search can also surface companies further afield.

How the buying committee gets mapped

Once a company is approved, Scout looks for the people likely to be involved in a buying decision there and suggests a role for each — so outreach can be aimed at the right person, not just the switchboard.

Built for control

Every step shows its work.

Nothing moves from the review queue to your CRM or an inbox on its own. Every AI suggestion — a company match, a buying-committee role, a possible duplicate — comes with its reasoning and evidence, so approving is a real decision, not a rubber stamp.
